i have a 2015 1le with about 1500 miles on it, gonna do cradle bushings this month and cold air intake , but what i want to do is long tube headers and a tune and of course my dealer will not be wanting to warranty any engine work after that, so how long did you wait?
also anybody know of a tuner in east tennessee area or should i buy a diablo with canned tunes? thanks for your expertise

I think I waited about 6/8k before a CAI, not really sure.

Custom tune will be better than a diablo tune. I'm REALLY not a fan of diablo at all after the experience my friend and I had with them. But basically most canned tunes just take out torque management and turn off the rear 02. They don't really do anything really that drastic. Taking out torque management will feel drastic because of how much it holds the car back but it really isnt anything major. It isn't optimizing the car or parts you put in.

2000, then went all out, Headers, Cam Intake, Heads the whole 9 years if your going to do it do it right

At 99 miles, It had American Racing headers, K&N cold air intake and was strapped down to the dyno! You can see it had temporary tags on there too

I got a CAI, and long tube headers without cats at around 8K. I waited as much as I could before I started going crazy and that is all I was thinking about. I can't imagine waiting until I hit 36K to start modding.

I bolted on an SLP supercharger and CAI at 250 miles. No regrets!

I bought the car and told the wife I'd keep mods to a minimum for a year or two.

I tuned at 2500 with a drop in air filter from GreenAirFilters.com, as I was not going to mod too much for a bit. Then, the wife changed her mind and gave the go-ahead to start modding away.

I'm now amassing parts; cam, headers, etc. They should be installed and tuned by 6,000 miles.
