How long do tires last on an SS?
I'm just curious what I can expect out of my tires under normal wear. I currently have about 5k on my car, and I don't see much wear. Does anyone have any insight on this topic? I do a few burnouts here and there but that's about it. Normal street driving other than that. I want to know so I can save up for tires. I"m sure a set of 4 will cost me around $500.

If you can find a brand new set of 4 for $500 let me know. On here you can find some with little wear for that much maybe a bit cheaper. Some people have 20k+ on their tires. Some have around 10k just depends no how you drive it.

A Search on this topic will give you some insight from guys who changed the pzero''s out anywhere from 15k-25k miles. This really depends on your driving style/habits on how long they will last. A set of replacement PZero's are $838 from tirerack.com plus shipping, mounting & balancing.

I have just under 33k on mine and they still look good. All depends on your driving and braking habits.

I'm at 17k now and have 4mm (6/32s) left on the rear, 5 mm on the front . You should be good on these tires until about 2/32s if your doing summer only.
I do track days, occaisonal burnouts, and drive like a bat out of hell. Clearly some people are one upping me though with like 15k tire lives?

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

I am at 25900 miles. No major burnouts, just 0-speed limit as fast as I can.
On 3rd set of rears and replaced the front tires at 24000 miles. |

18K on the rear and replacing them tomorrow. Front still has a few 1000 left on them. No more Pirellis for me.

It really depends on how you drive it!!! I have just under 6000 miles and my back tires won't make it through this summer, maybe another 2000 miles if I'm lucky. The front ones are good yet!!!!
