For a DD, I wouldn't want to be any lower.

A Z/28 won't clear that at OE height.

I know that would help a little bit but still would not help all too much. It would still have the approximate gap that a standard SS has, give or take. Right?

Ragner, are you lowered at all? I am used to staying away from parking stops. Had an '07 Z06 with the carbon fiber ZL1 splitter and skirts. It quickly taught me not to pull in deep to parking spots.

You could close by 1/2in more the gap from an SS with 295/40 tires. The Pzero Rosso are great street tires.

All of the contradictory information makes it so tough to figure anything out. I thought it was Justice Pete himself who used to preach the 1LE should get a 1.0" drop MAX. And even then not recommended to lower with springs only.

I unfortunately don't have a large budget and I don't have the time, money or tools to do trial and error on my car until I get it right. I need to get it right the first time or else...sigh.

Still looking for opinions from those that have lowered with springs only. Thanks!

Mbaseman get the BMR 1" rear and 1.25" front. Get it aligned and bushings timed and call it a day.....for now!

Obviously new coil overs are the preferred route but if you just looking for form and the killer looks get the springs but don't cheap out on the alignment as that will cost more in rubber!

That's an interesting idea, I wonder if that would help with the ride quality compared to going 1.25" all around. I also wonder if it would have too much of a rake to it since the back already sits a bit higher.

Anyone running this combo? BMR's in general? I have read some good reviews but someone told me the springs are noisy and he regrets the swap.

Then I read Hotchkis have a great ride quality but their 1.0" drop spring only dropped a 1LE about 5/8". That would be relatively unnoticeable if you ask me and it would be tough to justify the expense.

In think 1'' is low enough to make it gap less. I have the hotchkis and the stance looks just right.

I went with DSE just waiting for my rears to come in. I've did a lot of research and talked to many. JusticePete and JDP Motorsports helped me with tons of information I can't wait for my DSE.

My research tells me that if you want the best in lowering springs, Detroit Speed is the way to go......Think that will be my next project after I get these Aero Sport Concepts parts on. Think I'll be backing into most parking spaces in the near future....

I'm interested to see and hear about your outcome. I wonder if DSE over estimates their drop at 1.5"...because that does seem a bit aggressive for what I'm going for. But the spring rates posted by JP seem interesting. Looks a bit softer than BMR and Hotchkis. If DSE was advertising at a 1.0" - 1.25" drop, then I think I would jump on them in a heartbeat. They are expensive springs to purchase only to realize they slammed the car way too low.

Maybe 1.5" drop on SS struts and not quite as much on 1LE struts? Anyone know the answer to this? Justice Pete?
