Mobil 1 0W-40 Dexos 2

It appears that most dealerships down here in South Florida have a small supply of the new 0W-40 ESP dexos2 oil!!

I plan on buying two quarts/liters a week at a time until it's time for an oil change.

The part number for the oil is:

19370233 and 19353135

Funny thing is, when I asked about the first part number they gave me the latter ...oh well..either or I guess.

Try the Fram Ultra Synthetic Filter. Probably the best out there right now. XG10060.

I concur the XG filter is one of the best filters on the market but the OEM filter is no slouch, to ease possible dealer problems I run the ACdelco filter.

Has any one else heard that? I'm sure it is not that big a deal, I just want to make sure they put the correct filter on. I ordered some more filters and the new oil cap from Thatgmpartsguy including my vin number and they shipped it without question.

The flow-thru holes in the UPF64R are much smaller and 2 fewer (6) than the PF-64 (8), so I'll be sticking with the PF-64.

I prefer the larger holes of the PF64 as well. I hope the production of the PF-64 continues. I just purchased 4 on Amazon so the filter is still available. GM still maintains both filters are within warranty specs so no worries if the UPF64R is used.

Same here. Last service the dealer recommended and used the R version. If it keeps the warranty, I'm happy
