That’s the plan for the Spring. It came down to lack of time and money for this year...

Lower gears would be 4.11. Higher gears would be 3.48. There’s an inverse relationship at work there.

I am being limited to 5400 RPM due to my headers being too small but making shy of 14lbs or so. Should be much closer to the 900 rwhp range when I up to 2 inch headers and can squeeze that extra 1400 rpms out of it. I am running like. 9.5:1 compression with a super shitty Holley Sniper low pro intake.

I have a holley sniper efi intake manifold. Is that the one you are running ?
and the your bottleneck is the headers ???

Yeah I am running the sniper efi the 102mm low profile one, the bottle neck is the headers, currently running 1 3/4 SLP headers. Tuner said the same thing happened with his F1X corvette build put 2 inch headers on it and it was able to build up to 7k+. Power drops off at 5400rpm , bigger cubes needs more room to breathe especially FI.

Sorry if I am picking your brain. I am looking at similar builds to see if there is an issue in any way.
I have long tube headers 1 7/8th catless but the FI that I am going to use is a D1x. I wonder if that would be the same problem when I put the 416

Yeah my tuners build is a 416 the headers become a restriction when going for max effort.

I have concerns about the headers and exhaust even on my build. Running 1 7/8" into the stock NPP 2.5" exhaust now.

2" headers and 3" exhaust will probably get me a lot more power, they are on the future mod list...

Honestly I'll be happy now with anything over 700rwhp. We will see today!

So it hit 705/646 on a pretty stingy Mustang dyno. 4.5" pulley with 14lbs of boost, so a lot of room to grow. Builder says that the stock exhaust is really restricting it, going to have to figure that out before we change to a smaller pulley.
They are still making some adjustments to the fuel system and cleaning up the wiring some. Overall I'm pretty damn happy!
