Picked up 2016 SS

Finally picked up a 2016 2SS, M6, hyper blue metallic, been waiting for a long time for this.

Couple thoughts:
1. This thing is fast.
2. The stereo on the 2SS is better than I expected.
3. You adjust to the limited visibility fairly quickly.
4. I get a light mechanical noise when the clutch pedal is pressed, doesn't sound bad but somewhat noticeable.
5. I have a minor vibration above 70 mph.
6. I love the NPP exhaust, perfect combination of loud enough when you want it, and it sounds great in any position.
7. The dealership replaced the tires with Cooper zeon rs3-g1 ultra high performance all season tires...which I guess are ok but don't seem to have much traction. I don't have anything to compare to though.
8. The wheels get dirty real fast.
9. Skip shift is even more annoying than I imagined, already have the eliminator on order.

I love my 2016 2SS. Congratulations on your purchase.

Skip shift eliminator was the first thing I did. 2nd thing I did was the Powerstop Z26 pads to reduce the dust

Congrats on the car!

Couple of feedback points if you're looking for resolutions to some of these items:

5. Sounds like the dealer didn't balance the wheel properly when new tires were installed. Could probably take back to them if the vibration is annoying to you.

8. Yes, the stock HP 1000 brake pads dust quite a bit, but that's a trade-off of running a pad that can tolerate track use. I'd suggest checking out Powerstop Z26 pads. They give similar to OE performance on the street and have almost no dust, just make sure you switch back to OE or another track pad if you take the car to the track.

Ok, thanks for the advice on the pads, did you swap front and rears? Also I added a picture to the first post.

Congrats on your new purchase!

Coming from a few different German cars whose brake dust was really bad IMO, the Camaro is the absolute worst I've ever seen lol.

I agree. The NPP is perfect and it's doubtful I'll change it after having it for a couple months.

My 1LE only does the skip shift on random left turns. I never understood why so many people complained about it if this is as bad as it gets for me. Maybe it's malfunctioning in a good way.

One more question, has anyone ever tried to apply a protective film or something similar over the sill plates? Because of the non-flat surface i can't really think of a good way to protect them.
