Even though it’s not an original I thought this one was unique

Agreed. Even on cargurus, autotrader, etc there has been a slight uptick in price. Dealers are beginning to see the writing on the wall.

They are bound to be desirable -- "sound exclusivity" .. The LS7 sound and lope at idle (especially cold) does not seem like something that will ever be duplicated by another car. People just love it and always comment about it.

None of the other Chevy's, Dodges, or Fords sound so "old school" muscle. The Demon sounds like nothing at idle.

+1
Wish I knew how to upload an mp4 video of mine, the sound is awesome. I get comments all the time about the cam lope especially.

That car is beautiful though the z28 badging ruins it. Would've been better had they come up with their own badge

That car besides the 'vert body is 100% Z/28 components. I don't really mind it having the badges. If it were an SS, and only had the body work, without any of the other Z/28 components, then yes, posier badging would have to go. Interestingly, I have seen it listed for sale as 2014 Z/28 VIN#264, and going by the Mecum auction, its an SS by VIN. I believe that 2014-P264 to be a SIM with A/C that donated its parts, going by all the pictures showing the 'vert Z/28 being built. Ive never seen the car in person, and certainly wouldn't mind owning it.

It was built by Blackdog speed shop - they built a few of the Z/28.R that raced in the Pirelli World Challenge. I assume they probably had a couple Z28 they bought to start with, and rather than selling the leftover components from turning the Z28s into race cars, simply chose to install them on another chassis to build the Z28 convertible.

Fine with me!

No Z/28s were built into race cars. The owner bought a Z/28, wanted a vert'Z, since this was before the parts freeze was lifted, a Z/28 donated all of its parts to a vert SS to create the vert'Z.

P&M built the Z/28.r cars, not the privateer teams.

Good news and thanks for sharing! Strong $$, I agree. Wonder why the last notation "must be sold to out of state resident, or car dealer."

Interesting what the market is demanding... and that's all that's determining prices on anything.

2 Demons sold for $240k, for the pair, at Monterey... there's 3,300 produced already

only 1,800 total Z/28's over 2 yrs

Wonder what 10 yrs from now values will be... on either car
