Yup, you sound like the guy with the Camaro 1LT RS that I talked to at the gas station several months ago. Even after he looked under the hood of my car, he proceeded to say that he thought his car would give mine a good run. You're a funny guy

I was getting this a lot too. The respect for the Fox-bodies has disappeared, and I think that people don't understand the difference between peak HP and avg HP, and forget that the stock 5.0 was over 300 lb/ft. Before my Fox got sick I was getting people in Altimas and Toyotas who were trying to race me. My car is much less modded than yours, but I still couldn't believe that they thought they could compete.

There is absolutely NO drone in the A6 Camaro Stock.. Sorry!

His comments about the Mustang having Round Vents on the corners and flat ones in the center and Not liking them????? Thats the same Vent configuration as the Camaro LOL!

Also the Mustang Steering wheel controls are recessed DEEPER than the Camaros!

FARCE
I ran out of time or would have photographed the GT. I still prefer Camaros no matter how bad we lost this round since a little boost will change everything.

Look forward to seeing some of you next month at the "Texas Mile".

Yeah I get everything from V6 Stangs with 6 tailpipes to Dodge Rams trying to get me to play with them. You just don't see as many Fox body Mustangs on the road anymore. I want to save some of the few that I do see. My car looks virtually stock, except for the A-pillar gauges and a/c vent gauges. I have, and always will have much respect for everything from the LT1 on up to the new LS powerplants. I grew up seeing this Chevy vs Ford rivalry play out on an almost day to day basis. Sometimes the Camaro wins and sometimes it's the Mustang. It sure is great to see it being reborn.

i will BET MY LIFE, that my spec'd 2011 gt murders all previous stangs in handling/braking. ive run this thing to freaking SCARY cornering followed by ABS kicking braking and it never acted crazy. ive run it into 20mph corners after hitting 140. 140-20. hard ass cornering that would likely get a previous stang driver killed.

2011 GT (my spec)is better handling than a 2010.

Really?? I don't remember that. A new Iroc Z from that year would've cost around 15K and all the way up to nearly 20K, depending on the options you added. They still sell Camaros at over 5K under msrp where you live??
Theres always one in the bunch that cant read. You just made my point, I said loaded it was 5 grand more, you said they were 15-20 depending how they were optioned, i said a loaded mustang was 14 and a stripper was 10. therefore you proved my point, 5k difference. How old were you in 86? me and my buddy bought both cars loaded brand new so I am well aware of the prices. I also priced both before choosing the camaro and to me for the same money I chose the camaro. I have had plenty of mustangs and loved them all, I currently have a mustang I race and a few camaros. To me if you are interested in the whole package and not just the e.t. for the same money the camaro was the better way to go. I wanted to own a piece of history, not a 7th year improvement of the s197. already had a s197 all done up, no thanks.

im not a mustang hater but this car cost me 5000 less than they want now, having a 5.0 isnt worth 5k to me.

Drove both myself. The mustang is quicker, the inside feels like a Taurus. .. lol. I respect the new 5.0 but would never want one

5.0 > SS. The .2 difference isn't the biggest blow-out in the world IMO.

Where are the street, track vids of 5.0s killing 2010 camaros? Almost every video Ive seen of privately owned 5.0s are running low 13s. Ive said it before and Ill say it again between a Challenger R/T Camaro SS and 5.0 its a drivers race. Nothing more, nothing less.

Wow that first video was real clear. You couldnt even tell who won or by how far. The second 2 were complete jokes LOL. I hope you dont expect a mustang to pull like that on a camaro every time like the 3rd video shows. The driver looked like he was 13.
