Talking Best Cold Air Intake for 2SS 1LE

Hey guys,

So just purchased my 2015 SS 1LE. Wanting to do a few of my own modifications to it. I figured I would start with an Intake. Researching, watching YouTube videos, and reading reviews online of what the best cold air intake would be. Found that the Volant is a pretty decent one. Well built and really beefs up the torque and the horses. But I figured I would put this out there and see some opinions of some real Camaro owners. Any feed back is welcome, thanks

P.S, price is no issue

-Ryan

The Volant is a quality piece. Well made and fits properly. If you choose the PowerCore filter, it is probably the best filter on the market. It will keep any microscopic dirt out of the engine. I owned one and ran it on my car for six months. Like you, I did the research and decided the Volant was a good buy.

I started going to the drag strip and was disappointed with my car's performance. Either my car was a slug, or something was hurting me on the top end. I switched to a Z28 CAI and ran 7 tenths quicker and 4mph faster in the 1/4. It wasn't a one-time perfect run either... I ran the Volant on three different weekends, and I've got two weekends on the Z28 setup. The times are consistent and I have the slips to prove it. The only thing changed on the car was the CAI.

I vote for Roto-fab even though you didn't put it in the poll and even though you put this thread in the wrong section

Ryan, you're good. We love Camaros regardless of which model you own.

I have both a 2013 ZL1 and a 2015 2LT RS as my DD. If I needed help with anything about my DD, I'd ask it on the ZL1 forum, as the people here are so helpful and know so much.

The advice given is perfect, ZL1 or not. We are all Camaro people...

Roto-Fab, CAI (Cold Air Induction), Airaid all make good products for Camaros and all seem to be the most used products of the fine ladies and gentlemen of this outstanding forum. If you want a sealed unit like the Volant you mentioned, maybe you should check out the CAI unit, it too is closed (with a very cool looking clear window on top), is heat sealed, has optional colors and has good reviews, results and recommendations from people on this forum. Good luck.

No worries, just figured you would get a better response from the appropriate group.

FYI, I run Roto-Fab and love it.
