New Rim Recomendations

I know this is probably one of the most common thread types out here, but figured forum is slow as is and I value the opinions on here.
So anywho, next month is my last car paymentand to celebrate I am thinking of getting some new rims for the car it's something I've been considering but this is good excuse. I have a 2010 Camaro SS with the stock 20x8 and 20x9 rims, requirements are below.

-20x9 and 20x10 sizes (hoping to stretch current tires on at least for time being)
-lighter then stock
-no 6th gen copy designs
-gunmetal, grey, white, polished, as long as it's not black, although black with machines face would work too
-around $1,500 for full set (I can go one or two hundred higher but in this state we have a 10% sales tax and I would be getting too close to $2k which in total is a much harder pill to swallow)

Currently looking at MRR M228 (I guess jury is still out on the weight for these), have considered the M017 but they look too close to stock ones on my mom's GMC Terrain and I don't think I would be happy with that thought. I have also been browsing various sites looking at options but figured I would ask you folks, maybe find something I didn't consider.

Hey there. Did you take a look through here yet? Lots of really nice wheels shown on our 5th gens. Just a note for you and the price range you are looking to stay around, you might not find any "light weight" wheels out there. Most are going to be cast wheels which will make them a bit heavier. The lighter they are most will be flow formed or forged, and they will be a bit more expensive, at least the ones I have looked at. The M228's I had on my Camaro being 20x10 and 20x11 were a bit heavier than stock, but the stocks were only 20x8 and 20x9 so they would be lighter. In my opinion if those are what you are looking at, go for it. You will not even notice the weight difference driving the car.

Oh yea I have been looking at various wheels people on here have for a while now, biggest reason why I am considering m228 is because of the threads especially few that popped up not too long ago, like looking at the Flow Forged z28 replicas that were well spoken of on here recently and found that Factory Reproductions makes flow formed z28 rim for similar price, but in the end feel like I'm just going in circles, so started this thread hoping to shake the tree a bit.

Here is a list of all the MRR wheels and weights. I posted it in another thread about the M228's. One of the wheels I do like is the FS06, kinda looks like the M228, but different. I almost bought a set, but decided to keep my Feradda FR3's.

Fs06 does look pretty good, reminds me of the American Racing Crossfire rims which meet pretty much all my criteria, I am a bit worried about stretching a 275 tire over a 10.5" rim though since they don't offer 10" option for the rears.

I have the American racing Crossfire wheels. 20x10.5 +40mm offset rear with a 315/35/20 tire and a 20x9 front +20mm offset with a 275/45/20 tire in the front. I'm a "big" guy so my fronts were scrubbing a bit with my coilovers so i swapped to a 245 tire in the front. These tire sizes are the exact same size as OEM so they won't trip the ABS or stabilitrak. I believe the overall weight savings from stock was about 5-8lbs per wheel even with the fatter tires. I highly recommend them and they look great. A bit tight to clean the wheels with the big SS brakes but I use a baby bottle cleaner to get inside the wheels no problem. I would be happy to send you some pictures of the fitment or whatever if you like. Or you could just look at the first page or two of my member journal. I listed all the specs there and when I originally installed them my car wasn't lowered at all.

ordered mine from fitment industries and they came with tires pre-mounted for a flat rate.

Just checked the pics in your build thread, looks great and seems like the roller skates also fit pretty well which is nice. I actually had 245 tire on my rear 20x9s from previous owner, guess they were trying to save some money or wanted to rotate the tires, gave me a spook when I ordered my current tires because I thought I would have to order new rear wheels until I took a tape measure to them.

Here is a few pics of the 275/35's I had on my 10.5 wide Feradda's, this is a spare wheel I damaged on a curb. I replaced them with 285/35's because the 275/35's made the front of the car too low. So if you are planning 275/40's, you should be alright. The 40's will be taller.

That is actually really helpful thank you, I tried searching for pics of a 275 on a 10.5 rim on the forum but only ever found 275 on 10 inch rim (the search function on this site just doesn't like me so I probably missed few), did find some pictures of 275 tires on 10.5 rims for 4th gens and various BMWs and Nissans but they looked a little different from each other so guessed there were other variables (probably sidewall and rim diameter).

You're welcome sir. This was when I had the 275/40's on there. If you enlarge it a bit, you can see the sidewall difference from the 275/35.

You can find rotary "forged" wheels in that price range (or a little above) that may fit the bill for you. They are typically lighter than cast wheels. I went through Fitment Industries on mine and they were very helpful.

Asanti Black ABL-27 "Dynasty" wheels, they were about $400 each.

Thank for recommendation haven't heard of these before but they look good, also what widths did you go with, when I enter car details on their site they only offer the 9" wide ones even though I can see they have 10.5 ones in same bolt pattern, just with 38mm offset instead of something like 40 or 45 I've seen on others.

Asanti wheels have been around for quite a while. Back when I was shopping many years ago, I was looking at some of theirs. I have seen Camaros around here sporting some.
