Let us know how the ride is compared to the factory stuff, the spring rates on those are much higher than stock.

the Pedders drop springs while only 123# in front only dropped 3/8 in. in
front, probably due to being designed for the SS. The rear dropped 3/4 in, so the car is now pretty much level. The rear springs are like 435# and no ride issues as the rear shocks work well with them. Will try it out next month in
las vegas at autocross day.
good stuff...keep us posted.

I am curious as to how the Bilstein B8's would match up with the Detroit Speed Engineering 1.5" drop springs, front & rear ?

I don't think they make B8s for Gen5 Camaros

The Srt.T's are a good upgrade for the FE2 units but not for 1LE's. too soft. Personally if I could afford them I would purchase the Bilsteins if I could find them. Koni Yellows would be 2nd choice.
I have read reviews of str.t's on cars that have seen the track once in while and gotten good reviews on them. They are not adjustable but they do tolerate lowering springs that the factory units do not. I have been told that the Koni Yellows are illegal for use in SCCA SoloII. Not sure this is true. Koni Yellows would also bump you into a mod class with the real race cars.

Interesting and thank you for this info...any thoughts on pedders shocks/struts?

I have the DSE 1.5" drop springs with Koni Orange Str.t Struts on my Camaro. Couldn't be happier! Got tired of waiting for the Bilsteins on backorder for over 6-7 months.. I cancelled my order and went with the Koni's from the TireRack.

There's definitely less activity on this forum these days but I'm hoping for some more information on this topic as well.

I'm sitting at about 65k miles on my 1LE and I think I may need to replace the shocks/struts. The car definitely doesn't feel like it handles as well as it should. I go from my 1LE to my girlfriend's ecoboost mustang and the difference in my car's ride feels like sitting on top of the wheel on the school bus when I was a kid - does that make sense?

I've also developed a bit of a noise when driving over very uneven surfaces, and I've read pages and pages of threads. I put an impact on the upper strut nuts and tightened every other bolt per JusticePete's instructions and nothing helps.

The front struts were replaced under warranty around 30k miles, but the rears are originals. I'm not tracking the car and I just want ride quality.

It seems like 1LE OEM runs just over $500, and the Koni and Bilstein options are nowhere to be found. I was also considering the Pedders Sports Ryders, but there's not a ton of info on them compared to 1LE OEm stuff.

Would it make sense to go for coilover for a daily driver?
