Circle D converter and Nitto Drag Radials Test Hit

Just a vid of my car launching with the Circle D and Nitto 555r drag radial mods.I also have 391 gears with full boltons. My buddy with a 5.0 doing the driving while I had the chance to film my car for the first time. First launch was 1800 rpm easing into the throttle. 2nd hit was 1800 rpm launch dropping the hammer. This is a country road with a little dirt on it from farmers pulling trailers from field to field so traction was good but not great. The Nitto 555r drag radials are inflated to 30 31 psi. No speed limits were exceeded during the test. The nannies were off for both hits

Thanks fellas....i did a few launches later by myself. On a better road the car hooks really well and goes straight. With the nannies of and with the mods done before the Nittos it would blow the tires off so quick it would hit the limiter. The Nittos give you alot more control. I cant wait to hit the track to see what times i can get.

Might be random and not sure if you know, but do the Nitto nt05r offer even better traction under good weather circumstances? Recently decided on wanting to go with those over the MPSS

I researched the hell out of drag radials..talked to a few guys on here that have used different set ups. My understanding is this...Mickey Thompson ET streets are the best drag radial to buy. But it doesnt wear very well and is tricky in the rain. The nt05r are not quit as good at the track as the Mickeys but better then the 555rs. Any drag radial will offer better traction then a street tire imo. Having my Nittos 555rs ...which have the best tread life of all the dr im very impressed at how well they bite.Ive never driven on dr before and love them..sorry for the long rant ...did i answer your question lol.

I'm about to get 3.91 gear but I have a 27 inch tire so first gear is gonna be a spin fest . I have used nitto nt05r and the nt555r . The nitto nt05r are not good in water at all. I daily on the et street s/'s and even in down pouring rain no losing control of the car .
