What's the deal with the extra bung? The afe downpipe has that feature as well.

As Oemtech mentioned, the extra bung is for a wideband 02 sensor. Basically a true real time reading of what your Air to Fuel ratio is, so that if your engine starts running lean or rich, you can be quick to catch it before something catastrophic happens. This would be used if you wanted to mount a gauge in the cabin of the car displaying the AFR (Air to Fuel Ratio).

Angled, or any, extender for the ZZP Will NOT work. Trans cooling lines are in the way. I'm still running with a CEL can't get rid of, much less get the 02 installed.

our camaro's read wideband just as they are, and on a side note: for all the crap I hear about RPM I had ZERO issues with my catless downpipe other than making a gasket!

What do you mean that our Camaros read wideband?

was recently looking for an OBDII bluetooth/phone app for my car and asked my tuner about wideband because I figured I would have to have a bung welded in the downpipe and he told me to make sure i got a canbus compliant odb2 bluetooth iphone diagnostics app and that wideband info was available to be read

No shit. Ha, I didn't even know that. I play around more with my ATS than my Camaro, which will be changing soon. I'll throw my HPT on the Camaro on my lunch break and verify this. A factory wideband is awesome and will save me a couple hundred bucks on the Camaro build!

I can confirm this. It does seem that the 16+ Camaro already has a factory wideband as logged in my hptuners

Some of this stuff is over my head.
Unless you are tuning, a gauge displaying AFR (air fuel ratio) is pretty useless to a layperson. It's just going to show you a bunch of meaningless numbers like this video.

https://youtu.be/vmQMYTHbmfc

Ideally you'd like it to say 14.7 while you're crusing, but it won't. You'd want it to read somewhere between 11.7-12.3 while at wide open throttle, which is the only time having an AFR meter actually matters.
