The '19 Ram has been in production since the beginning of the year but the '19 Silverado has been on the market less than a couple of months so it has not yet gotten up to full production so the Ram has more truck momentum for the new models than GM.

Chevy cleaned up the Silverado front end and body for '20. This generation marks the very first time that I actually prefer the dodge and ford designs over Chevy. Chevrolet and GM will need to be careful going forward with designing their cars and trucks. What looks good as a sketch may or may not work as well as a realistic model. If this isn't done yet, then I also believe that Chevy and GM should have design "crit" sessions, where unaffiliated jurists can give honest feedback and criticism to proposed designs.

The only Silverado I think I like quite a bit is the High Country, and I've felt that way since they were first revealed. But the rest...not so much.

The WT and Custom, CustomTrail Boss trucks look terrible with that "LOOK I'M A CHEVROLET" grill on them. (yes I know other makers are doing it too).

The LTs are bit better, but damn, I feel like I'm drowning in chrome when I look at the front of an LTZ. The RST isn't terrible, but I want more variations in my colors. Not a huge fan of the blacked out look on the LT Trail Boss...I can deal with it, but I'd rather not have that look. The High Country on the other hand has a good balance of color and bling.

I don't think its possible to configure an LT or LTZ to have that High Country front end, and that's a damn shame. I realize they want the highest trimmed truck to look the best, but if they really wanted to sell more, they'd allow options on the lower trimmed trucks so they can look good also, instead of just bland.

I'm hoping that the buying public will not crucify GM for this departure.

Internet reception has been much worse than the 2019 halt-ton introductions...the High Country got released today, it appears slightly better, but still a disgusting design IMO.

Will be holding onto my 17 Sierra Denali for an indefinite amount of time...

^^This is not good. Chevy is in store for a very hard time next year. I would think that Chevy and GM could not afford to have a bomb design for their truck. If it were me I would make this design the shortest run that they've done in their history. If necessary, I would also scout out new design talent.

Edit: I love the Sierra Denali. I'm a little disappointed that I'm not in the market (yet) for another new vehicle, else I would be looking at a Sierra now.

Also, GM and Chevy have recovered from bombs in the past. The '04 Malibu was one. Chevy turned it around very nicely in '08. This truck will need a new design very soon (like tomorrow).

I want a trailboss with the 6.2 but at the moment isn’t available. The Chevy LTZ has to much chrome for my liking. I can’t stand the HC leather or wheels. Might have to go with a GMC trailboss (which I have a few dislikes also) or just keep my 2010

Been looking at the half-tons closer in person over the last weekend.

The GMC is hands down better looking than the Chevy.

Any Silverado with the chrome bumper looks terrible. The side fender swoop and mirrors are as bad in person as in photos.

The Sierra Denali was ok. Front end is too big and bulky, side profile is slightly better than the Chevs without the weird dropping fender line. Fender badge is gross, looks like a Titan badge take-off. Need to check out the tailgate and function it to make a comment.
