Wheels
Hey guys,
I scratched the shit out of two of my wheels in a car wash the other day. Stupid me I know I was trying to save time and didn't hand wash. Anyway, the wash should be covering the cost of the wheels. My local Chev dealer quoted me $987 per wheel, for some reason that seems low to me. Also, are they different offset front to rear? The service advisor gave me two different part numbers. Thanks for the help boys |

I believe the front wheels at 20X9" and the rears 20X11". At $987.00 Chevrolet is quoting you FULL PRICE! That is what the average person who does not question them pays.
Tell me you didn't take your Z28 through a automated wash place?

That's an insane price, Try www.iamgmparts.com. Bring the printout to the dealer and they should price match. My dealer did.

I didn’t think you could buy stock Z/28 wheels from the dealer anymore I thought GM was no longer making new ones? Is that incorrect and you can still order a new set of wheels from the dealer?

I'm willing to bet it wont seem "low" after you show their insurance this tag. You could point it out to them in the manual too.

If I read this right.... the OP ran his own car through a self-wash drive-thru... So if that is correct he might not want that particular warning tag to surface....

How did the wheels get damaged in a touch-less wash?

Why is there a guard rail in a touch-less car wash? Any touch-less car wash I have ever been in is a wide open bay with shit hanging from the ceiling for spraying and washing.
