This is exactly what the warranty is for. If there is a part defect it will usually show itself relatively early. You would be absolutely surprised to see the amount of defects on brand-new parts I pull out of OEM boxes from every manufacturer.

Yes it sucks but this thing happens but at least it wasn't anything that did damage. Or need a whole new engine . Could of had a bad spring or retainer and drop the valve completely!

GM folks on here just read your message and sent this to your dealer, warranty is now void buddy.

just kidding lol

I have a 14 and have some issues too. Waiting on parts to arrive to the dealer (noise when I accelerate, dealer said it is from a piece that goes around the manual stick so it does not vibrate). I have under 200 miles total on he car. Diffuser is being replaced also

To sum up, the Chevy pushrod V8 is a pretty sturdy engine, there's nothing to worry yourself over

you keep saying this every post. it sounds like youre whining. we all agree it shouldnt happen. if anything broke on my 4K mile 2014, i would think the same, but i would also get over it and know it was all under warranty. shit breaks on cars, common or in as in your case, rare. itll all work out.
