Sticky Brakes?

Every time I wash my Camaro, dry it, and park it in the garage, a day or two later when I go to drive it out of the garage the brakes are froze and have to break (pop) free as I pull out. Itís like the pads and the rotors rust together. Has anyone else experienced this?

I can't help it. I can't stand the car being dirty and I can't wash it every day.

Yep, the rotors are iron, the pads metallic. Try blowing them dry with an airhose before leaving it. Shouldn't hurt anything though.

Yeah this happens. What i do is either wash it while the brakes are slightly warm or take it up the street and apply the brakes a few times after washing and drying then park it. I prefer the latter but then you have to dry again where any water came out of any crevices you missed while drying it the first time.

My rotors show rust as soon as water hits them, so once I have the car all dry I drive it and used the breaks a little to clean them up. Usually just once or twice up and down the drive way will do it.

These are all great ideas. I think the best way is to apply the brakes a couple of times after the car is washed. And yes, I am sure you will have to wipe down those few spots that leak out, but that's OK.

I know what you mean. I think it happens faster if the rotor is warm. I have never seen it before where a rotor rust right in front of your eyes.
