Painting Pfadt Suspension Parts?

I am starting to modify my 2013 camaro suspension and I am trying to decide if I want to paint any of my Pfadt suspension parts I ordered this winter. I ordered ZL spec sways (painted metallic black/dark gray), solid subframe bushings (anodized orange), and Pfadt trailing arms and tie rods (appear to be raw stainless steel). Basically the stage 3 kit without the lowering springs.

I am not planing on showing the car, but not sure if I want to see the raw stainless on the trailing arms and tie rods. If I did paint them I would match the sways. What do most of you guys do? Can stainless be difficult to paint (these parts are also intricate, difficult to paint)? Can rattle can primer and paint be used?

Finally, is there a reason that Pfadt does not paint all of the components from the stage 3 kit the same color? It seems like most people would buy suspension components from the same company.

Thanks in advance for all the info and insight. FnD

You can paint or powdercoat them if you would like. The trailing arms/toe rods used to be made of mild steel and if the powder coat would chip, the arms would start to rust. They then went with stainless steel and send them out raw/unpainted/uncoated.

Are you guys able to powdercoat any of them tyler? Depending on how much it is, i may have you get the parts I ordered done.

Yeah, I'm sure that's a possibility. I would have to look into pricing though.

JDP Tyler, Thanks for the response and history on the material change in the parts. If done well does paint generally hold up on stainless?

I'd suggest powder coating over paint due to all the abuse from road debris hitting them, but paint should hold up okay. Powder will definitely hold up better though.
