So I'm a bit pissed tonight after receiving my 7.425" pushrods from BTR. I guess I'm an idiot for only ordering 8 instead of a few extra. The other 8 are 7.400". So I took them out of the bag and as customary at my house, I rolled them on the granite in the kitchen. They all looked good except the last two. One was so bad I got my .005" feeler gauge out and was able to slide it under the rod without snag. I know it would be worse if I had a runout fixture. I took Friday off work to get these installed and now have to fly more in RED freight to have them in time. This sucks!

Dang! I didn't even think to check mine. I hope they are straight!!

BTR made good for me. They're sending 6 out to me next day air. He said to return what I dont need and he'll credit the freight. I found a couple with what looked like a small file mark near the base of the tip. I doubt it will contact anything, but I rejected those as well. Well I heard it said best..." Any push rod with a bend, is a spring" LOL kinda true if you think about it. What PR's are you using and what size...?
**UPDATE**
I got the 6 PR's today and found 8 good ones out of the 14 to use for the build. Sending the rest back along with some stuff I didnt use.

Always, always check push rods on a piece of glass for flatness and a light to make sure nothing is inside them.

Yes, your right. I checked all the push rods and some had dirt inside. Good idea to clean and inspect all internal parts before adding to the engine. I'm happy with the rods so far, just had to hand pick them and return the rest. BTR has been great to deal with as far as returns and technical support.

No one is perfect. It's always good to double check stuff.
