2013 L99 Oil Filter Question??
Hi,
Just had a major problem getting a Mobil M1-113A filter off, but got it after a fight with it. My question is this: Is there an equilvant bigger(longer) filter available, like maybe a LS3 filter for a Chevy truck???? Usually truck filters are a bit longer and easier to get a better grip on, Thanks Ken |

I think some filters like the K&N have a little hex bump on the bottom that you can stick a socket wrench on, they're a bit pricey from what I can remember though. Could also get one of those filter removal tools.

I second the filter wrench tool. It makes life a lot easier for sure.

Filter wrench for sure. And I punch a small hole in the bottom of the filter to let the oil drain out of it so it doesn’t splash all over the exhaust or dump hot oil on your hands when you remove it.
