Adding performance to a 350

I have a 78 350 l82 auto corvette. It says it has about 50k miles. I bet bs. So anyway im wondering what kit would be the most reliable and the best performance out of the three.

I like the 500 hp range

also what carb? Will my engine be able to stand these mods?

Wow that kind of sucks. I was going to suggest the Trick Flow ones they use to have there making some great numbers, but dont see that kit listed anymore. As far as your engine handling it that would be your decision upon tearing it down to install the kit to see the condition it is actually in. Now as far as carb, with the hp numbers you are looking at from any of those kits id say you wouldnt need anything more than 680cfm. Brand would be up to you on the carb but since you picked 2 Edelbrock packages... Summit is very helpful and if you actually call they can give you something that will fit your needs perfectly. Them and Jegs were great help when calling when I had questions on building my now on hold project.

I myself have never used them. I have read/heard many good things about them from different magazines that praise them for bang for the buck. They have been around awhile now and really no negatives from them so take that for what its worth. Just noticed as well that two of the kits one of the Edelbrocks, and the Trickflow use a hydraulic roller cam. Your block would have to be retrofitted to accept the parts. Not real hard just thought id point it out.
