Not really...if you are talking about stock historical times...keep in mind those times are tested off the showroom floors with skinny stock tires. At take off they had to feather the gas pedal to control wheel spin.

I can't argue with that. V6s should not be loud. Just make them as deep as possible, subdued with just a nice growl at open throttle. Nothing worse than an overly loud car with not the speed to match.

Lol why does everyone insinuate that the V6 is sooooo slow?? It isnt as fast as the V8. But it's far from slow

I think my 6 sounds pretty good.

Sweet!

I'll reiterate what I said before...just drive one.

If you can't bear the thought of your wife having a more powerful Camaro then don't get it.

Else, if you want to make it more fun, do what SixJak said...throw on a CAI and mess with the exhaust and call it a day. Heck I think half the reason people buy the SS over the V6 is for the sound anyways.

GMguy, here is another DTsS + LT header V6 for you:
Sounds good

To answer the original question, the V6 is an awesome choice for a DD. It provides jaw dropping looks with an exceptionally smooth ride for the price. I would recommend a 2LT/RS and make sure you get the spare tire package and a cargo net. Throw on an axleback exhaust for sound and make sure you change to snow tires in the winter if you live north of the funny sounding people (j/k).

About ready to hit 2000 miles and it does great for a daily driver. I average 380 miles per tank. Would have liked to have gotten an SS but I can live with the 6. No regrets.

I wanted a daily driver that would use 87 octane gas. I found a better solution. I bought a V6 Mustang, its faster than the Camaro V6 and still gets 31 mpg

All these youtube vids.....I am smelling a thread jack....

Here's my ride in the right lane at Zmaxx....this is before I modded a little more and got 12 more horses out of the car.
My best run in this car is a 14.2

Strange....those of is in the South always tell people that we live below the funny sounding people.

How odd, I've run 14.17 and all I have is CAI and exhaust. Wonder what's different between our 1LTs...
