Has anyone done Z28 wheels on a zl1. I'm thinking of doing the factory oem wheels on my zl1.

Will the front OEM Z28 tires fit correctly since they are a lot wider than ZL1 fronts? Also i think the Z28 OEM are 19". I think you would have more options if you went aftermarket Z28 Replica....you could get them in the same size as what you have now....unless thats not what you want.

Z/28 tired are too wide and stick way out there. Especially in front. Wouldn't look right.

It will look terrible. The offsets and diameter are different. If you're going to spend the money, get a wheel that fits.

I have the EOM Z/28 wheels, and they fit well and perform great on the track. Aesthetically, they aren't bad but they do stick out from the wheel well and leave a rather large fender gap. I don't think it looks bad, but I plan to use them only for track days unless a I find some Z28 fender well extensions and rockers.

Thanks for all the info guys, I hate cleaning the zl1 wheels with the matte finish and in my opinion GM did a horrrible job painting them. Mine literally have bare spots everywhere, like they sprayed them from the front and whatever overspray got to the dish and around back was good enough. The spokes being so close makes it hard to get them really clean inside the dish. I do like the look of the Z28 wheels but that front offset looks horrible. I do however want to make sure I use a forged wheel and thats the reason I don't wanna go for the aftermarket Z28 wheel. Probably end up with some nice forgeline wheels instead. Can I borrow some money? Ha ha. The gap doesn't bother me too bad as I'm already sitting an 1" lower with my Detroit speed springs. It did give it a bad ass stance but a small gap wouldn't bother me. Thanks for the replies ! Big Bertha

Hey brother send me a picture looking from the front on if you get a chance please. I wanna see what the offset really looks like dead on. Thanks in advance.

I run OE Z28 wheels on my ZL1 for track use. They fit in the sense that they function, but they don't look "right":

I'd recommend the 20" repro wheels with the ZL1 width and offset if you're looking for a daily-use setup.

Good looking ride, I do autocross with it every chance I get. I also wanna start hitting the roadcourse with it. Is yours stock height? Ass end looks good. I like how mine sits cause it fills in the entire wheel well but 19s I think would still be ok.
