Good for you that you don't use CDs, your 1 of few. Still shouldn't have taken it away, that's just stupid. CDs are not obsolete.
I politely disagree. I think the majority of people who have camaros DON'T use CDs. Of course, there is no way of actually ever knowing, because asking a poll on here is not a random sample.

But I think with digital media being as prominent as it is, most people do not use CDs in their Camaros/cars in general.

I have a few CDs. They're only earning about 2.5% interest right now.

I would think that the weather, gas prices and movies would work like mine does in our 2012 explorer. It is part of the Sirius radio service. after the trial period, you can just get the travellink plan for about 2 bucks a month.

Same here. All others have been bought via iTunes ... Can't remember last time I held or used a music cd ... Much less in my car.

Then why not get the MyLink with nav after someone figures out the retrofit? It will look the same anyway...

Well I know of at least 48 2010 Camaro owners who now have the HUD in their 2010 Camaros.

Walt, much props to at least addressing the questions. Thanks!

I dumped CD, and MP3 music on a 4GB thumb drive, plugged it into the USB port in the glovebox and can jam to 100's of songs...

i dont understand why everyone is bickering so much about it not having a cd player.
you can easily convert cds to your computer and then to a ipod or flashdrive.
it saves you room( you dont have to carry around cases of cds) Time( you dont have to switch cds all the time) and money ( its one less part in the system).

I never said no one uses them, I just think the majority of people don't. When you think about it they are insanely inconvenient compared to an iPod/phone or usb flash drive

CD vs Digital Media

CD Pros
- good quality music

CD Cons
- Only 10 to 15 songs per
- Can be scratched/destroyed
- Not very portable
- Need a CD player to listen to the music
- Takes up real estate

Digital Media Pros
- Good quality (as long as you don't bootleg )
- 1000s of songs can be put on a flashdrive/ipod/phone
- Very portable/easily accessible through a multitude of devices
- Can listen with headphones
- Can't be destroyed/scratched (no physical entity)
- Can't be lost i.e. If your computer gets a virus, you can still recover songs on another computer with your itunes account

Digital Media Cons
- Only one I can think of is no physical CD if you like to cherish stuff. So basically no way for it to be a collectible.

And that was just off my head, I'm sure I can think of more if I tried
