Alternate Method of mounting Heat Extractor on early Gen5 Hoods
I bought mine from McMaster-Carr. Be sure to use .060". Others are either too thin and flimsy (home center stuff) or too thick and hard to cut.

I was one of the people that used the template from Rich and it worked great. Someone mentioned indenting the hood to make the extractor set flush, I would have done that as I have the pneumatic tool to make the indentations but I didn't want to have to repaint my hood. It bends and stretches the metal and would have left marks you could see when the extractor was installed.
Had a lot of people comment on the install when they see the car, defiantly worth the effort to do. One guy walked out the front door of a Speedway gas station and yelled across the parking lot that the front of my car was Bad A$$. LOL

I know this a quite an old thread, but did you ever get around to making a CAD drawing? I would love to have the guys at work punch one out for me

Interested
I'm willing to pay someone to do this for me, I'm on disability and can't really do it myself.
