4.080 bore woukd be a 418.37 thats a true size. This is why I stated an actual bore and stroke. Why call it what its not?

You need to look at what type of block your looking at and it future, stock ls3 engines can only be over honed a max of .020 not bored, ls7 over honed a max of .005, basically a ls3 may live to a rebuild or a clean up for new slugs and stroking. A lsx or aftermarket block may have sleeves that are not cast in and can be easily removed compared or even over bored, but boring costs life off a engine more than many old chevy blocks I have had were bored .030 over or .045 or at the end of life .060. SO its in what you desire to do with the engine, I know cheapest most go with the stock engine stroked to gain torque. Good Luck.

Everything but the piston looks real good. Aside from the missing chunk out of the block... :(

How much does it cost to resleeve all 8 cylinders with a bigger bore?

Well, it could be but you would need to find the right person to do it. Its not worth a whole lot but someone will probably take it off your hands and fix it if they are savvy. Probably best to get a new one. Hell if I were close to you id take it off your hands for sure.

I wish a builder would chime in on this. If it is worth it to send to TSP, that's what I will do. I also want to know (if this block can be saved) if it will be cheaper to rebuild this (bore AND stroke) block over buying one already done.

I originally was thinking of just buying a new short block and fixing this one and either selling it or sticking in something else.

Your block is a cake walk compaired to that, just need someone to add some material at the bottom of the cylinder. Its all a matter of cost, I would say if you were just going to fix that cylinder, hone the rest and put it together it would be worth it.
