It astounds me how many people here carry excessive car payments.

I got a good deal & put a good down payment along with the trrade-in so payments are not too bad. It is not the car but the mods that are difficult. I just have to do them a little at the time instead of going crazy like I would love to. :(

What may seem excessive to you is quite reasonable for others.

Both of my vehicles fit very nicely into my car budget.

The payment is completely do-able and it will likely be paid off almost 3 years early (60 month term).

More than anything, I think I've hit that point in life where I realize that having a new Camaro is really really cool, and I do love my car, but did I really need to go out and buy a $36k car? (especially when I had a truck, with no payment).

I definitely didn't need it, but it's fun to have, and....you can't take it with you when you die

Wouldn't have bought the car unless I could afford it and still live my life plus have that "in case" money

I don't have any issues with the payments, but I knew what I could afford going into it. It's the mods that get expensive becuase hanging out on here gives me too many ideas!

Ain't that the truth. This lousy lot has me 6k deep in the car and I haven't even had it a year!!! Not that I'm complaining.

Sounds like we think alike! Put 10k down that I had saved up for it back in september payments are about $479 and it should be paid off by december at the latest as I've been putting 2k a month down on it when I can refrain from buying mods...

Hefty now till the wife finishes school and gets back to work. 2 car payments, house payment and all other bills are at a all time high. This is mainly due to high gas prices.

In the beginning i coula barely afford it because of my age and interest rate. Luckily i got my interest rate lowered from a 4.9% starting, and now I've been at 1% for the past year. That helped out a lot with payments. For the past couple months up until I lost my job, I was making double payments; just want to get it paid off and have less one thing to worry about every month!

Fits in my budget easily. Originally a 3 year loan and I'm at 10 months and it's almost paid in full. My minimum payment is $470, I lay down $1000 every month though. I also had a hefty down payment to boot
