Aftermarket HID Lights

I've got a 2012 1 LS camaro, I'm looking to get a good reliabale set of HID lights, I bough a cheap set of Xentecs Bixenon 35w and had problems. and took them off.

I've done hours of research trying to find a good set-up and i'm pretty confused.

I've read in many places that you have to disable the automatic headlights and only should turn on HID's with the engine running.

I've read this is only true if you have the type of system that only plugs into the bulb harnesses and if you have the type of system that powers directly off the battery you dont have to disable the automatic lights.

My Xentec set was powered right off the battery and had problems with the Automatic headlights working, sometimes 1 bulb would not work, turn off while driving, and the high beams would not work.

I just disabled the automatic lights on my car today by doing the spring mod,

there seems to be a lot of conuterfeit kits out there as well, how do I know who to trust?

Can amyone reccomend a good kit? I want Bixenons so I have both low & high beams. Can someone with personal experience answer the question about only starting the HID's with the engine running?

You need to do a retrofit bro. Get some MH1s from the retrofit source along with a H1 HID kit and you will be golden.
