Standard seats vs recaro seats?

Hi guys I have a 2015 red hot zl1 ordered with a scheduled build date of August 10 but am having some last minute regrets on the recaro seats I choose to get. I have been driving my uncles 2014 zl1 for last 2 days and find his recaro seats uncomfortable. I am a bigger guy and find the bolstering on the seats to be too tight and restricting, what I am wondering is how do the recaro seats compare to the standard zl1 seats? I would assume the bolstering would be less intense on the standard seats but I am wondering if any of the users here can give a comparison on of the two?

I called the dealer today to see if I could cancel that option and he said he was not sure if it was too late, which I don't really understand considering the car hasn't been built yet.

I love my Recaros, they hold you really good in the corners and they are not too bad for comfort. I had the normal seats as well and although they are very comfortable they do not hold you like the recaros, and you are right the bolstering is less intense on those seats as well but I think it all comes down to how you feel on them. I am 5' 8 and weight 175 lbs just so you have an idea. Congrats on the car!

I am a bigger guy myself, and I LOVE the Recaro seats. Not only do they fit you like a glove (I'm about 275lbs) but they make the interior look WAY nicer. The base seats look cheap in comparison, IMO.

I know the recaro seats give the inside a much nicer look which is the main reason I went for them. The side bolsters are not the issue but since I have bigger hips I find the bottom bolsters To be the tight ones. Does anyone know if the recaros seats sit higher in the car then the standard seats as in do they affect head room?

I will trade you seats if you don't like them. I'm sure we can find a place to meet.

I am still waiting to hear back from the dealer if it is too late or not to cancel the option and go with the standard seats. If it is too late and I get stuck with recaros I will start looking on here for someone to trade with.

You won't have any trouble getting a trade for standard seats. I'd be interested myself since I have a 2013 and wish I could have Recaros. My current seats are comfortable, it's the look of the Recaro that I love. Plus I think they're even more comfortable. Hopefully it all works out for you and you love the car.

I'm 6'1" 290lbs and I have the recaros. I regretted them at first but they loosened up a bit and I got used to them. I am now happy with them and my decision.

I go back and forth on my Recaros. I'm getting more accustomed to them now, with some miles on them. Of course, I paid 4500.00 for mine. I would have liked them a whole lot more as a 2,000.00 option!

Keep them and be happy. I'm 6'3" 235 and I fit fine.

Ok I feel like an idiot for being so indecisive but I am going to email the dealer and try to go ahead with my original build and get the recaros.

I think if worse comes to worse and I really can't get used to them I will find someone on this forum to trade with.

I appreciate the advice of everyone on this forum you guys have been a big help in a lot of decisions regarding this car.

Where can I get a set of Recaros, beside from a dealer?
Anyone know the part numbers?
My brother owns a body shop so he get parts 10 or 15% off and I really want the Recaros
I'm also a big guy, 260 lbs, but think they look sick and I do track my car several times a year
