25.1 MPG on road trip - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I didn't think it would get that good. But I actually got the MPGs up to 25.1. It mostly stayed in the mid to high 24s though. This was on a road trip from the Dallas, TX area to Naples, FL. About 18 hours. Did it straight through, but that's not as easy as it use to be.

That's great mileage for these cars. I'm around 24 on road trips with an automatic using AFM.

That's about 10 more miles to the gal than I get with a Range in the city. Is that possible?

On my recent trip from San Diego to LA i got OVER 26mpg in my 1LE, averaging speeds of about 70-80mph. Prior to that my combined average was 20mpg. Both of these figures are from the digital readout not manually calculated. My previous C5 Vette got 30-32mpg on the highway

I've seen those numbers on the freeway easy.. It's pretty amazing isn't it.

20.6 average so far, and its crazy to see a 1LE at over 26.0 with that higher gear ratio. Car's gotta have a good clean flow for sure.

I haven't paid too much attention to my mpg. Not why I bought the car. But I'm going to try to see what I can do on my next run to SD.

In my 10 SS I was always rather amazed at getting 26 mpg on the highway on a regular basis. With my ZL1 I'm happy with getting 19 mpg and my SS Sedan I'm getting 22 mpg.

avg, according to ecu is 25 atm. but I have 2ls v6 w 2.92 gears. even though I thrash at almost every stop sign

The taller trans ratios in the 1LE keep the increase in RPMs@70MPH to 30 more then a stock SS.

Great mpgs. Ive gotten 30mpg once according to the dash. I was really babying it and had the cruise set to 72mph. The only long road trip ive been on. Otherwise its 16 in city, all day.
