I know mine,so far,we just raised the RPM shift,and it shift where I want it.I'm at 6600RPM now.
But I think I'm gonna raise the MPH abit also.Maybe 1 or 2 mph at a time I use my logs at the track,it gives me an idea where the MPH is at each shift. |

If I use one of my track logs last year with the stock converter and 3.27 gears.
At 60mph, I'm in second gear at 5800RPM At 100mph,I'm in third gear at 6100RPM. My shift point were set at 6200RPM at the time. |

60mph= second gear at 6078RPM 100mph=third gear at 6416RPM |

Again, watch trans slip and PCS pressures and you'll see what I mean about the mph initiating clutches. John, I'm going to shoot you an e-mail with a spreadsheet that one of the well known tuners on the HPT forums put together for rpm vs mph on the 6L. See if that helps with your last question? |

I could never get RPM changes to affect the shift, I had to use the MPH. I have 1-2 set at 22mph, Rpm 5800 and it shifts at 6400.

Yeah from what I have read, can't get there with just the RPM values, but I put the RPM values to where I want it to shift and that should only help it hit the targets.

I'm in this boat now. Mods in sig.
Seems like 1st it went off mph, but 2nd and 3rd by rpm. The trans flared a lot on the 2>3 and 3>4 so I think the mph miscalculations are doing that. I'm trying to rev to 6,750 and shift at that max in pattern A In pastern B, I'm letting it rev to the max (6,800) of the cam power. The graph here shows the max it can go is about 6,800. I wish there was an accurate way to calculate mph by rpm or vise versa so it would all be correct.
