i asked the same thing a few days ago. i was told you dont need a tune and it may set a cel off but its ok. just as soon as you can get one cus it makes a huge difference.

You can get around it for sure. One of the biggest reasons long tubes headers will require a custom tune is because you move the O2 sensor quite a bit. This throws off readings big time. Since shorties and high flow cats don't move the sensor location you should be fine. However, you are dramatically reducing back pressure and while your stock tune can adjust to a degree, you are still leaving power on the table by not getting it tuned. So again, you will be fine without a tune (a cel might pop up every now and again) but you would benefit from one for sure.

If your willing to tune, why not long tubes? Shorties are pretty pointless IMHO.

Laws in California. Maybe a little forethought before you bash other peoples cars and decisions. No need to be a Internet badass on every single thread.

Not bashing, just trying to get him his money's worth if he's willing to go to a certain point thats all killa.

You got dyno graphs before and after, curious when you start to see a difference in the powerband.
