Hood Vent Under Tray

Just curious if you guys are keeping the hood vent under tray (water diverter?) on during good weather and street driving.

I don't even keep it on in rain. The intake tube gets a little wet but that's about it.

I usually take it off for track days and then it stays off because I don’t like having to remove it and replace it every time lol. But it goes on at the end of every fall season

I took mine off. I think it extracts heat better. I also don’t drive in the rain.
I also took off the fuel rail covers off. That plastic cover gets hot as hell.
Hence it acts as a heat trap vs off acts like a heat extract.

I trust the Chevy engineers knew what they were doing and leave mine on.

The owners manual does state to remove it for track use.

Like many other members I leave the fuel rail covers and the water tray off. I reinstall the tray with one fastener for wash sessions. Car NEVER sees the rain.
