What rpm are you turning during interstate driving @ 70-75 mph?
I like to take weekend trips and donít want the buzz of big gears.
Thanks.

Is that low?

From what I have read and been told I should be looking at 3400.

Thanks.

That's a great build you've got going! What is your target whp?

Regarding the 3.91 gears, couldn't agree more. The SS should have been geared this way from the factory.

The 3.91 gears, if installed correctly, shouldn't buzz or make noise.

In top gear at 75 mph, my engine turns about 2,200 rpm. My cam doesn't like cruising at low rpms, so I generally don't use top gear, but run 75 mph in 5th gear around 2,800 rpm.

Some guys need the gearing but if you retain the power and are pulling out the hole strong, save it for the top end, and make use of the lower gear. For NA it might be helpful.

3.91 are considered lower gears while 3.45 are higher gears. There's an inverse relationship at work there.

Best of luck with the rest of your build OP. She's gonna give you a severe case of perma grin!!

Ya they are perfect. Those comments always come from people that don't have them.
