I really suggest you go with a Vitesse Throttle Controller first. There is no comparison in performance. There's nothing wrong with the factory throttle body, but the stock intentionally reduced throttle response really robs your Camaro of its potential.

The problem with the stock TB is its restrictive.

Vmax works great if you decide to go that route.

I've had the Vmax TB over 4 years with no issues. I'm sure they will both work fine for your needs.

I would like to see some kind of dyno comparison between the VMax and the BW throttle bodies.

I will say that I did have a VMax TB on my '12 LFX and it worked great.
That weak MAF is smoke and mirrors. Save your money. Ive never gone into a build telling a client.... "Oh you have a weak MAF and we need to change it".

I would expect a side by side test between the two throttle bodies would be about the same amount of power. On a couple pulls maybe the Vmax has more power and on a couple pulls maybe the BW has more power. I don't think its a factor in either.

although both units have had gains at wide open, I tell guys to get a ported throttle body to improve throttle response. If your driving your car and you can feel the difference between 5 HP at WOT, your better than me.

Honestly, when the guy showed up with the BW unit I took pictures of it, installed it, I really wanted it to work out, because everyone blames the tuner when something goes wrong lol. Im just glad he had his stocker still in the trunk.

There's points I personally like about both throttle bodies, but I just choose to sell the consistency of the CnC ported Vmax plug and play units.

I went with Bo based on what I see him do on this forum. Members ask for help and he gives honest, intelligent options. He does not lead with, "you really need to buy my stuff" like several of the vendors on here. In fact, I've never seen him try to sell anybody on anything.

I sent him mine while I had the car apart so core return was not an issue.

I ordered a new TB from Bo and keep my OEM TB in the closet. He sent me a PM stating that he put it on his own car, to make sure it was right, before he shipped it to me. My car is so much more responsive. Thanks, Bo

I haven't tried the BW TBs, but we use, install and sell a ton of VMAX TBs.

I doubt you can really go wrong either way. I haven't really heard anything negative from either side.

If I can answer any questions on the VMAX, just let me know!

Best regards,

Tyler

You're the first one I've read say that he doesn't take cores now -- usually, he is begging to get them back from those tow which he sold PTBs.

Can't beat the Bo White TB ,best hands down. Flows better ,looks better and makes 4 to 5 hp more. If you dyno both on the same car you will see for your self. Bo has been doing hand porting a long time and he knows what he is doing. Hand porting if done right is better ,and Bo do's it real right. I think it would be interesting to have a dyno test run by an independent shop/tester and see the results side by side. My money is on Bo's TB winning every time.

I do not do core returns. Your refering to Jason at JacFab. He sells cores ported by me on an exchange. He has trouble sometimes getting cores back.
