Well yeasterday I decided that instead of waiting for a ZL1 I would instead order a 2012 SS Convertible. My dealer let me drive their white SS vert last week, and I loved it. I would rather give up the performance of the ZL1, for the vert drop top roof, it was just an amazing experience that I forgot ever since I got rid of my '03 Vette Convertible. So, today I called my dealer and told him to fill the '12 allocation he was holding for me. I am ordering a 2012 2SS Convertible, Inferno Orange Metallic Exterior w/ Inferno Orange Interior, White Rally Stripes, 20" Polished Aluminum Wheels, RS Package, Performance Exhaust Upgrade. I'm pretty excited about it, and I'm content with my decision.

Doesn't stop you from buying a ZL1 when they come out as well......
Gotta have a backup car.....

Congrats CC873!! You'll love the color combo, that's what I keep telling myself. Wouldn't you know, OrangeVert is now at the dealer - and I'm on a business trip 1,000+ miles away. "Daddy, please come get me!!" :(

That's the color combo on a vert if you really want to stand out - the orange just won't quit!! Imho it's worth the extra 825 smackers ($325 paint, $500 interior), especially with the top down! Hope you get it before the end of the summer, sure will be a great fall car too!
