AY6 1st to 2nd Grind

My car currently has about 6000 miles on it, I am bringing it in tomorrow for them to look at my transmission. As many other have been stating when shifting from 1st to 2nd at high rpm's they get a grind when engaged in 2nd. I wanted to find the TSB for this issue so I can have additional information. If you have the TSB please let me know so I can bring it with me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Having had my transmission replaced for this same reason, I don't think there is a TSB on it (yet). Last I heard was GM was investigating the failures but had not taken action yet on an actual fix.

Just to update anyone who has looked over this thread:

They are taking out the transmission and replacing the clutch and inspecting the transmission. As soon as i get some more info on any further issues i will update it here.

So yesterday the dealer calls me and the service manager tells me that they are ordering new synco's for the car. So I ask him if that is what he determined the problem was after taking out the transmission. He tells me that he hasnt removed the transmission that they read over some bulletins and that was the cause of the problem on another vehicle. Then I ask him how do you know if you havent inspected the transmission. He tried to tell me to come bring the rental back and take my car until the parts arrive and I deny to pick up my car until it is fixed. I am not going to let them reset the clock on the time it has been at the dealer. This is really discouraging. If anyone has any information that would help me regarding lemoning the car ect. please help this situation is moving me much closer to getting rid of the car that I wanted for 4 years.

Why is everyone so adamant about using the Lemon Law rather than just letting GM fix these issues under warranty?

When you have been to the dealer 5+ times in a 5 month period for different issues then you will understand me.

If you have dealerships like mine they wont fix crap, tell you cant hear any noise, operating as designed, bla, bla, bla, and your car still is not fixed, multiple calls to customer care, multiple calls never returned, many tylenols later the lemon law looks like a steak dinner being handed to you by an angel! Im trying the same thing!

The first issue I had I tried using that customer service line BS and they dont help. They are just there to hear you complain and say stuff like dont worry Sir we will take care of this I know what your going through, you have a really nice car though this is unsat bla bla bla. I dont want to Lemon this car I love my car I have been wanting it for a long time but I defenitley wont stay with a long ass loan + a bunch of issue for that I would have bought a used car cash.

I Had mine grind on me going into second the same way. For some reason at high rpm its physically difficult to shift into second gear, so when shifting quckly you dont get all the way into gear and get the grind instead. All the other gears shift smoothly but I have to concentrate to make sure you're completely into second. It seems like at high rpm the engine torques the transmission a small amount forcing the shifter up against something making it difficult to shift into second. I don't know what to do to fix it, but 2nd gear is a pain in the ***. I wonder if it could have something to do with the shift skip.

I had my 1st-2nd gear grind couple of times before at lower RPM and I thought maybe I should pay more attention make sure it's in. I just drove the car a earlier and this time is about 5500 RPM and it grinds. I tried it again to make sure it's not me and it did it again which is why i'm on the forum to see if it's just me or it's a common problem with 6M. I have a 2011 6M with 3600 miles.
