Can a Corsa cat back and k+n air filter cause a slow down??

After the dealer installed the corsa cat back exhaust P/N 14951 the 1SS M6 seemed slower. It did sound bitchin though. I guess what i'm getting at is the dealer did some recall stuff and i don't really know if they did a reprogram or what but it might just be my immagination? any ideas? should i get some kind of reprogrammer to make up for exhaust upgrade?

This is almost certainly in the tune. If this install were to throw your trims off and cause some knock retard, then yes you may be seeing that situation. This is not all that common though. I highly recommend a custom tune, you will see a much better result in HP,MPG and driveability. I have seen a loss with some of these hand held tuners BTW.

When I install parts I like to reset the computer by disconecting the battery for around 10 minutes. That way the computer is reset and it can learn the new mods. Perhaps try that if you'd like.

I predator tuner also works great when you add an exhaust or cold air intake.

Good Luck!

You should see basiclly no change... This car learns these type mods very quickly.

Tune will kill your warranty, but possibly the battery cable or 5/20 fuse pull may insure you are on the correct octane table.

Wow you guys are having issues with warranties and tuning? That sucks. We dont have that issue around here. The dealers nearest to us are very forgiving and have great relationships with our customers. We had a GTO with open headers and giant cam go in for a broken rear end and they didnt even ask any questions. Also with a good tuner, you can save your factory tune. Then IF something were to ever happen you could flash back to stock and go.

More than likely they reprogrammed the computer with the newest tune that addresses wheel hop, that means there is even more torque management than you went in with.

I can send you a predator or Trinity and solve that problem Easy.

He has a catback... still has stock manifolds / cats and a Corsa resonator. TAGS is a different animal...

If he got that update then he's probably got the new OS not yet supported by Diablo, but coming soon I'm sure...

It will not learn out torque management, and torque management make it feel soft.

Tuning is your only solution at this point.

Ted.
