Splitter & lowering

I purchased the BMR 1" lowering spring but haven't had a chance to put them on yet. I have my eye on RPI's ZL1 splitter which I will have painted to match (carbon flash metallic). I have seen a few threads where some say don't put a splitter on if you are lowering. I thought I read somewhere that this splitter is fiberglass. Anyone here lower and put this splitter on. Need opinions.

I have the 1" BMR drop springs and SLP splitter. The splitter does take a beating. I'm on my second one. Just have to be careful.

Simple fact: lowered car w/splitter has a greater chance of scraping.

Figured this. Just want to know how bad it will be before I invest. There's other things I can put my $$$ toward. I don't want to replace this multiple times.

I was 100% sure mine wouldn't make it a month after I put on the 1" drop springs.

It's still there. Few more scrapes and rubs but it's there. It's one of the eBay RPI knockoffs so no big loss to replace it if I have to at some point but for what it's worth, it's not as big of an issue as you'd think as long as you're aware of your surroundings.

I don't have my splitter on yet but I always back in to parking spots. So if you don't already...you better start getting used to it

I back in every parking spot. Is yours lowered? Unfortunately my driveway at home and work are at an angle so I go slow as it is.

I have the bmr 1 inch lowering springs and a splitter that I bought off ebay that looks like the zl1 style, i dont know what kind of material is made off but it's kind of flexible so it's taken a beaten and it's never broken or anything, and I've given it some nice hard hits, all that's happened to it is get little scratches underneath but its not even noticeable. Also mines is unpainted so i dont know how the paint would hold up but just be careful and you'll get used to driving in and out of driveways in an angle and to not park too close to the wheel bumps.

Also about backing in to parking spots, i dont know how many people have a problem with this or if im the only one but when i back up i have to also watch out to not get too close or else my mufflers scrape on the wheel bumps, but like i said you will get used to it

I'm lowering it this weekend and I think I'm going to check out Ebay for the splitter. I really didn't want it in flat black since everything is gloss on the car. Guess I'll just see what it looks like first and maybe paint it later.

The splitter isn't any lower than the bumper already is but pull in to close to curb and it will touch it splitter or no splitter. Friend of mine has curb alert on his zl1 works pretty good. Mine is lowered 1" with gm splitter no problems yet.
