Does installing rear cradle bushings and new trailing arms actually improve traction on the street? I know it helps with wheel hop but I'm hoping it will give the car some more bite too when mashing the throttle? Any feedback would be great.

what exactly are you lookin for? the suspension mods need to be done regardless...and do you have DR's?

I thought in this forum I would get a better answer for straight line traction (maybe in the other they might of thought I was talking about cornering bite/traction). I am getting DR's, that is a whole other subject, trying to decide what size, looks like a Mickey 305 will work OK, I might do a 18" zl1 wheel too.

minimum 18"...my Nittos are the same height(close enough) to my fronts that I don't have to pull any fuses...just bolt em on and roll to the 1/4(lucky fer me only 10 min front my front door...wahoo!)

Traction on the street is hit or miss but mostly miss. If you start off easy you may have better results but even with drag radials you will not dead hook with these cars. Trailing arms and toe rods will help but you will still spin.

I don't think they really do anything on the street, especially with a street tire. They do not change the suspension geometry at all, so it's not like they will force the tire down to the pavement like CalTrac bars on a leaf spring car or ladder bars or a 4 link will. All the parts you mention are simply stiffer than the factory pieces and can reduce wheel hop if you're hooking up enough to cause wheel hop. They can also help maintain alignment under power since the parts and bushings will deflect less than factory pieces. But no, they do not change the geometry and cause the torque to push the tire to the pavement any more than a totally factory setup. I am not aware of any aftermarket suspension products for these cars that can do that.

I have the 18" ZL1 reps out back with MT 305/45 Street R. The traction is much better than my stock ZL1 rims with MT 305/35 Street SS. Not recommended for DD, though.

I have a question regarding the fuse pull. What's the difference between that and holding in the traction button for 8 seconds?

fuse pull is for tire height diff front to rear...holdin down the button will not address that..
