I picked black interior for mine so I got a sunroof to lighten up the cabin. I do believe that a sunroof takes away from the lines of the roof though.

I had a CamaroSS with the sunroof and auto tranny. I traded to a manual and the new car did not have the sunroof and I love the extra headroom. I can move the seat up and not hit my head when wearing a hat. + the reverse mohawk looks way better then the smooth sunroof top IMO.

A sunroof on a car is a deal breaker for me. I hate them. However, some like them, so it is a matter of personal preferance.

Got the sunroof myself.
Last night, I took a drive, and had the windows down most of the time. Got on a ferry, and opened up the sunroof. Relaxing!

I drive a different car but... I thought I "needed a sunroof"---- I ended up getting a car without it, and don't really miss it.
And I have experience with sunroofs...Several of my past cars had Sunroof 2000 Tiburon 2001 XG300L 2004 Sentra SER-Spec V 2005 XG350L 2000 MR2 Spyder - Convertible 2002 WS6 Trans Am - T-Tops 2004 Nissan Titan All had sunroofs or some form of open top.. I rarely used them.

It's a personal preference. Go sit in the cars at the dealer.
edit: I use mine everyday.

I like the looks of the camaro better without a roof, but worse than that is that I personally HATE being in a car with the roof open. noisy and the sun is always in the wrong place at the wrong time.
so with all that being said...get what floats your boat, you can't go wrong. but if you have any real wants in getting one...get it now and dont try the aftermarket stuff later |

I'm 6' and my head doesn't come near the sunroof.
I love the extra view/light, not to mention the air in my hair. Oh, right, I'm bald....anyways, the sunroof is very nice. And it makes the roof look better. Smoother, not that reverse mohawk that I don't like. Mav

Originally I ordered one without a sunroof (didn't have the money at the time and everyone kept warning me about it leaking)
Ended up with my SS with a sunroof and I LOVE it....may leak one day but, oh well...I drive with it open as much as possible - IMO it's not as noisy as other people say - less noisy to have the sunroof open then the windows anyway.. |
