Zaino Question

I just got my zaino today, and on the directions it says to put a dime sized dab of polish on the applicator. For all you zaino users, about how much area would that one little dab cover?

that dime size will cover about 8"x8" maybe bigger, a bottle of the Z2 will last about 6 or so waxes. I like it a lot have been using it for 8 years

when you put it on it looks like you hardly have put enough on, but it doesn't take much to get a great shine

Once you get some polish in the applicator you can take it a bit further, it will take some getting usd to. Polish in good light where you can see the the polish coverage on the panel.

You'll find that 2OZ is just about right for the entire car...

Zaino is to be spread very thin, and dampening the applicator with water will ease in the application.

A dime sized dollop is good for an entire body panel, ie; fender, door, trunk, with the hood requiring a little more.

Also, if you're using the 2oz. bottles which come with ZFX, a good "barometer" of how much to use is 2oz. will easily get you three coats.

I've been using Zaino for a loooonnnngggg time, and this is true for most cars.

I use about 1oz per coat which is probably too much. Then give it 2 coats and the results are unbelieveable. I clayed and Zainoe'd my Camaro last weekend. After driving around this week the normal road oil is sitting on the surface like a film. I can wipe it off with my finger where with normal wax products it will stick to the surface. After a quick wash I'm right back to that silky smooth finish again. Great product.

You will be amazed. My RJT doesn't look quite as maroon and more red with several coats of Z2 and Z5. It has definatley brought out the red.

Zaino recommends 100% cotton MADE IN USA towels. For the life of me, I can't find any made in america. Went to Macy, nordstoms, bed bath beyond, and crate and barrel. NOTHING. Can I use a luxurious Indian made towel? What do you guys use?

"Indian made towel"

If you cannot find any in stores, I'd highly recommend ordering the "Blond" towels from Zaino.

I know its aggravating to have to order and wait for them, but you don't want to ruin your work with inferior towels that can cause fine scratches, etc.

Plus, Sals come "border free" with all tags removed!
