I wonder if that's something that varies by year? I used a V-set and mine have the notch.

So I guess the moral of the story is be aware of that possible issue.

Hey guys I put on some CTSV Calipers last month with some brand new OEM ZL1 Brembo Pads noticed my front brakes are squeaking terribly and noticed my brake pads are sticking out of the caliper? Is this right? My GM dealership did the install.

Has anyone run these Stoptechs on track?
https://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brak...oModClar=Coupe

At $165 for cryo and slots vs $218 for the stock 1 piece dual cast and $250 for stock 2 piece, seems like a good deal... if they do hold up and aren't too heavy.

CTS-V rear Caliper DO have the have the notch...if you use the Gen2 V calipers. You have Gen1 in the picture above.

I wrote this one two years ago as well regarding the rears

Remeber that Stoptech owns Centric or the other way around. Either way they use Centric blanks you can save a few bucks by just buying the plain Centric that match the fronts in appearance.

I was going that route until I got my hands on the RB Performance rotors.

Speaking of rotor rings, DBA actually makes rotor rings for the OEM Brembo hats:
https://www.knsbrakes.com/c/car-seri...2FCorvette+Hat

These rings are listed for C7 Z06, but since both cars use same annulus, diameter dimensions and both use brembo hat pattern, I'd imagine these would be compatible? I ordered a set, and I will use these once my OEM rings are done. FYI, there's also 5% of with CF5off coupon, so these are actually $350 shipped per ring.

Curious how that works out. I've always liked DBA rotors.

I'm committed to my route though, barring some weird events.

Maybe I'm reading into your message... are you saying the cyro and slots aren't worth the money or needed for the fronts on a ZL1/CTS-V/Z06 setup?

In my past, it was 10 years ago, they made a difference on my 3rd gen RX7 for street with occasional track day (1-2 per year mostly at VIR) , granted it was a much different car.

I think my reading comprehension might have failed me. I understood you were going stock Brembo fronts and then the slotted/cryo rears. They wouldn't match looks wise.

If you are going with the slotted and cryo'd one pieces all around you'll be fine. IDK what the weights will be.

I had at one point thought about going stock 2 piece front and the Centric rears. I couldn't get over how much those stock 2 piece rotors are.

I ended up getting lucky and grabbing my set of rotors relatively cheap. Just a little bit more than the cost of stock.

gotcha. Ya that would look a little strange. I think slotted fronts with Corvette sticker on the front and the stock rears would be and look OK...

Ya,your RB rotors are nice.

Has anyone on here ran into any fitment issues with the CTS V/ZL1 front brake upgrade? I purchased the CTS-V Yellow Brembo 6 Piston Front Calipers Pair GM 20982734 20982719 $621 off Ebay (Powder coated blue to match the look of the ZR1 Cyber Grey Corvette $330), utilizing the Power stop Z26 Street Warrior kit $818, new hub bearings (Chevrolet Camaro SS ZL1 Z28 Wheel Hub Bearing Pair 2pc New OEM 25954415 $100.99 pair), new caliper bolts (11570788 $2.75 ea) and decals off Ebay $10.
With that said everything fits solid except rotor/caliper clearance. The outer edge of the inner pad seat is sitting solid on the outer side of the rotor. I removed the new hubs thinking that maybe the issue. I used a micrometer on the old and new, matching proper dimensions. So thus leads me to believe its the rotors or the caliper.
Any thoughts???
