performance chip?

the previous car i had a chip added like 15 horses etc but i'm new to the whole tuning/chip thing i've always just had knowledge with exhaust/intake.

can anyone give me a good explanation on the whole performance chip thing?

From what I understand. (I'm not an expert in the most novice sense of the term) the Camaro is pretty much optimized for the stock parts right off the line, so it only pays to get it tuned after a sufficient number of bolt-ons.

Even then I'd imagine you'd see a %increase due to each individual bolt on, so a static number more than likely wouldn't apply.
