Saturday, my wife and I are flying to LAX. We bought her a new (to us) car from the manufacturer. It was a demo used for display and promo purposes and on stage at the LA Auto Show. To be honest, it's not something most (if any) of you would be interested in or probably like, but she loves quirky cars, and if she is happy, that is all that matters.

Anyway, we'll pick it up and drive it home, which is under 400 miles. We love road trips, so we'll have a blast. I'll shoot some cell phone pics along the way.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Will do and Safe Travels!

Thanks John
Here ya go John. I had to cut / modify the top radiator support. Going to have a fabrication shop make a new one. Also decided to go with an external transmission cooler. Hoping to have all hoses hooked up by Friday.

I wasn't able to get the new radiator installed in the IROC in time. Here's a few pics...

Good morning trick. The IROC for that I can see of it looks awesome. Good luck with the new brace. I'm going to put my ZL1 Addons tow hook that I have had for 3 years. Never a need to get a new mod on in a hurry. LOL

Thanks Trick. Hope you get the radiator support figured out.

Here's her new car. It's a former demo/promo vehicle used on the west coast. If you Google "Radiant Green Mica C-HR", you will see photos of it at the LA New Car Show and other west coast venues. Since it is a 2018, they are done with it. I drove it from LA to AZ on I-10 and it's pretty sweet. Claire read the owners manual during the 5 hour trip home. Tons of room up front for a compact. Like I said, it is quirky, but she loves it.

Trick - The radiator looks great, that will keep that bad boy cool. The air cleaner fits in there nicely also.

Rick - That is a quirk. But, a very sharp looking quirk. The white top makes it pop.

Got the Fascia off today. Drilled the 2 holes in the crash bar for the receiver no problem. But bolting up the receiver to the crash bar was a pain. The crash bar is square tubed and hard to get a wrench on the nylon nut.
I went to put the tow hook in the receiver and it wouldn't go in only about a 1/4 inch. called ZL1 ADDONS and there sending me a whole new unit over night free and told to keep the one I have too.

Ok trick,

I was confused, mixing threads with photos and cars and ....damn...

So, I saw a thread somewhere wherein someone mentioned the possible resurrection of the IROC Z.

Then I come in here and I see an LS under a hood, but nothing else made sense... alternator up high, battery under the hood, no fuse box, air cleaner on the wrong side, radiator fill port in the wrong place, different grill and hood latch etc.....

I finally went back and looked and saw you have what appears to be an LS swapped IROC which is cool as hell in any book...

I’ll try to keep up from now on... miss one day of school and I’m miles behind the class...

Please carry on as you were...
