If this kind of interior was to be put in a common car like a camaro, mustang, or challenger it would be called boring. But since its a 911 it's the best thing ever.

Since after the 80's and valuing materials and craftsmanship more than excessive design ..maybe not in the true sense of the word luxury but there is a problem here...

The idea that a 911 is a luxury car or even has that as one of its priorities is kind of funny.

Luxury can also just be something "exclusive" which this price tag definitely seems to be going after. I feel like with every car being sold by its in car tech and electronics rather than its driving experience a return to the basics is kind of refreshing.

Oh my the money. if I had the money for that thing...I'd buy a 1955 Porsche 356 instead. It practically would make you Steve McQueen to even drive one

Great looking car. I can tell Porsche is slowly going away from the "traditional" 911 look. Hopefully they don't really mess it up on future 911's.
No manual transmission option is just stupid. I know the PDK auto is awesome but there's nothing like shifting your own gears with a 3rd pedal. I'm sorry Porsche doesn't view this too now...

You're not reading between the lines when reading criticisms about our interiors. With interiors, the devil is in the details. The Porsche/Germans follow Bauhaus design methodology, but the materials/finish make it look nice. GM/Ford (used to) look like they were designed by "fat men from Kentucky" (to quote Jeremy Clarkson).

For example, that matte silver painted plastic that's copiously used by our class of cars - I mean who are they fooling with that sh!t? It clearly looks like painted plastic. No point faking something when it doesn't look like the real thing.

Take the ZL1 interior for instance: looks almost the same as the cheaper Camaros, but by simply using better materials (alcantera etc.), the interior looks more luxurious.

What's the difference between a $400 couch, and a $4000 couch? Ans: the $4000 couch looks simple and is made from leather, the $400 couch is made from polyster and has gaudy flair.
