Exjaust Drone??? Help?!

So I am running a 2014 Camaro ss with apr 42k miles on car and 8k miles on new motor. The new motor has a texas speed custom grind cam, and the supporting mods, stainless works long tubes with carven rtp mufflers. It drones STUPID bad on the interstate or around 1500-1800 rpms under load. I really want to get rid of the drone without having to change mufflers. I previously had borla atak axle back and the car stil droned so I accepted that it will most likely always drone, I just want to reduce it. Any help would be hugely appreciated

Just a suggestion because I haven't had this experience personally due to my NPP exhaust.. The cars don't have any sound deadening from the rear floor back. Try pulling the carpet and seats and running something like Dynamat or similar

Yea I have removed the seats and made a custom seat delete with plexi glass center to see the sub woofers in the trunk. The interior of the car is actually relatively quiet but the vibration/drone is horrible. I have been debating on a sound deadener also.

If you want to keep those mufflers you will likely have to install j pipes to get rid of it. I had Borla S on my 2010 SS it droned like a bitch at highway speeds.

Pretty sure a lot of places have them. Try Summit or solo-performance

Do you have an x pipe? If not, try that...

J-pipes are your best option before changing your set up. WE can order you set but they need to be welded on. Another option would be to add an inline resonator but that will also change the tone and quiet it down a bit.

But you do realize the seat also helps with sound deadening? Since you did that, all the vibration from your trunk will funnel right through the area the seat is supposed to be. Like I said, the first thing I'd do is lay sound deadening from the rear floor pan all the way back through the trunk.

the seat delete I made actually made it quieter inside the car, but I may put some sound deadener on the bottom and back side of the seat delete, and I have a factory h-pipe on the car, ive always wanted to install a x-pipe on it, and I may try ordering a j-pipe.

I installed Solo axle back J/Pipes on my '10 SS L99 8 years ago along with with full
unibody insulation from the front seats back. The Solos are a bolt on installation and
totally eliminated drone at any RPM on my camaro. Amazingly the 5th generation
Camaro doesn't have an ounce of unibody insulation- NONE.

J pipes or a resonated Magnaflow x pipe in the center works wonders.

Drone

Don't bother with all of the stick on insulation, all you need is j pipes
