Hi Flow cats or Off road pipes?
So i was just curious, curently my car has Hi Flow Cats, but if they were to fall and land just right on something that accidentally hollowed them out, how much of a gain would this be worth?
What kind of numbers have users seen by switching these items?

There is a minimal if any gain from doing the swap. Sound will be the most effected

The gain is very minimal; like 1-3 HP.. The biggest difference would be more sound/louder and more rasp.

Personally I prefer cats, catless sounds way too raspy with my straight pipes

Go catless if you are planning on supercharging, if not doesn't really add much HP and the exhaust smells way worse.

I'm catless and glad I went that way, I enjoy the sound and smell although my wife hates riding in my car now..... That may be a good thing!

I'm a girl and running catless. Thank You Very Much
And idk why people complain about the smell. Its not that bad as long as your not inside a garage or standing directly behind it. Inside, I've never smelled it even with the windows down.

i say catless...it will add some rasp though. just know that going in.
but i mean if you already have the high flows id just keep em. once you hollow them out theres no going back if you dont like the sound. aside from buying new high flows obviously. |
