Hex Vents

I'm thinking of adding these to help with my track days.

http://www.hinesperformance.com/stor...C-Edition.html

Anyone install these have any good, bad or ugly comments or issues?

I was thinking of doing the 14' OEM one I've seen floating around some threads hear but I do like to all-in-one complete kit the Hex Vents provide.

This is the only pic I have on my phone. That hood had stripes with the vents installed and it looked great. This year in running a copo hood so no vents. If you search supercharged SS on this forum you'll prob find a shitload of pics. Check the Camaro fest 3 pic thread.

Love my HEX Vents, dont use the splash trays though and never had a problem.

The only complaint I have is that I haven't even had them on a year before the black finish on them turned gray.

My flat black ones have been on the car a couple years and have faded noticeably also. Steve @ Hines is usually good about customer service but I can't imagine what he can/will do about the black fading. I periodically apply Back To Black and that helps for a while but my car is a DD and in the sun and rain that doesn't last long.

You can order them for strut bar/ no strut bar setup.
Easy install if you have mechanical skills.

Nice product. Love the look. Paint could have been better. -- runs, uneven, but not that noticeable from a distance.

Just dont over tighten. I have seen lots of hoods with slight indentations or a pinch in the paint. Other than that great product
