Thanks me too. Sucks I did everything twice just to do it but now I can take off the bumper in 10 mins tops lol.
I must say the transmission line connection at the radiator is perfect, it’s just like the oem connection clicks right in and the hose fits super snug on it.

I know this is an old thread. But I'm in the same boat right now. Trying to take the front fascia off to install a bigger heat exchanger and both top bolts are free spinning. I'm worried my only option may be using a saw blade like OP ended up doing..

Even without those 2 bolts I have had zero rattles or alignment issues. Just be careful if you go that route and tape off the bumper and fender to make sure you don’t scratch it. Only part of mine that got marks from the blade was inside the fender and just put touch up paint there to prevent rust. Can’t see it anyway

I'll use a ton of tape and be very careful I guess. Because I need to get this bumper off haha

I also had shop rags there too. One slip up and that blade will chew the paint and metal. I took my time saw them off and just the long blade in hand. My front bumper has tons of paint chips in it anyway so will replace it one day anyway.

Ran into this issue on saturday. Started cutting the bolts, well my buddy did. Hes an artist with a grinder lol. Got the driver side off but put everything back together to tackle another time when it isnt 12* degrees out. I figure ill cut what i have to to get it off then figure out a reasonable way to secure it back on. Ive had this bumper off a few times and this is the first time it gave me this issue.

I have a 2010 SS and had my front bumper off 3 times. I didn't gave to gut any bolts. Maybe the 2010 bumper is easier to get off.

lol. It's not that you do have to cut any bolts, but in some occasions after years of being on and vibrations on the connections, pulling and pushing and possible salt corrosion, rust, an area of the threads on the bolt will become "striped" so to speak and the bolt won't come off past that point, or it gets "stuck" on and won't back off to be removed, so you will have to cut the bolt in half to get the connection freed up.
